A safety campaign "Travel Safely by Bicycle and Electric Scooter!" will be carried out
On May 28–29, a targeted police safety campaign titled "Travel Safely by Bicycle and Electric Scooter!" will be carried out in Vilnius County.
Officers will monitor the streets and roads, near schools, parks, squares, and youth gathering places to ensure that cyclists and electric micro-mobility riders comply with the Traffic Rules.
Reminder:
- always wear a helmet – it can protect your head from serious injuries;
- ride only a technically sound bicycle or electric scooter;
- be visible and predictable on the road – signal turns with your hand;
- do not use your phone or headphones while riding;
- ride at a safe, legal speed and follow the Traffic Rules;
- dismount your bicycle at pedestrian crossings and walk it across;
- respect pedestrians and other road users;
- Adults, please set a proper example for children.
